The combined festival of the Mar Vista Farmers Market and the Mar Vista 80th Anniversary will have over 100 booths with fresh produce and prepared foods, arts and crafts, an art exhibit of local artists, community groups and special play activities for kids.
Entertainment will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on two stages. Featuring performances from:
• Super Broke and the Super Heroes Brass and Tin Marching Ensemble
• LA Boyz
• Los Angeles Community Klezmer Band • Carol Davis poet
• The Grey Hounds Classic Rock Band • David Javelosa synthesizer
• Barry “The Lion” Gordon master stride pianist
• DAFRA - West African Drum and Dance • Tom Heasley ambient tuba
• Elizabeth Busch classical guitar • Project B.E.G.I.N. drumming/storytelling
• Tear Drop Ray Gun Indie Rock, and more.
The work of 25 Mar Vista artists will be exhibited in the midst of the action, at the Mar Vista Arts Temporary Gallery (3865 Grand View Boulevard, above Barry Pipe and Supply on the second floor, entrance at far right of the building)
Admission is free for all events.
